I have loved numbers since I was eight, when I got an NFL almanac for Christmas and spent years in it, looking for patterns and for the seasons that broke them. Noticing what is normal and what deviates from it is still how I approach data.
I grew up a Navy kid. My father was a Seabee, so we moved every two years, including a stretch in Spain. It was not always easy, but it showed me a lot of the world and taught me to stay open to new people and new opportunities. Pittsburgh was the place of continuity for my family, so studying at Carnegie Mellon and ending up in this city has always felt like a dream.
I started at Carnegie Mellon in 2018, studying civil and environmental engineering for two years. I transferred to Penn State in spring 2021, wanting a more social environment and room to grow outside of academics and work, and I made friends there I plan to keep for life. In 2022 I took a year off school to work full time at McDonald's, going from crew member to an Assistant General Manager offer within ten months. It taught me to stay calm and keep a team organized under pressure, and I have managed teams of up to 15 people in fast-paced restaurant kitchens.
I earned two B.S. degrees at Penn State, in Statistics and in Data Sciences, and I am finishing an M.S. in Data Science at Pitt in December 2027. In summer 2026 I worked in fraud investigation at PNC, where I verified identity, handled sensitive account information, and decided whether each case could be resolved or needed escalation. This fall I joined IServe Pitt as a student data consultant.
